FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does Sonoma mean?
Sonoma is an old North American word that means: a place to return to after a journey, place to call home.
Do you have child care available?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Children are with us during worship, and sometimes after worship they are dismissed to another room. Sometimes they stay with us during the sermon. Either way your children will LOVE being at Sonoma Church and they’ll make good friends with other kids their age.
What are your service times?
Our main service is Sundays at 5pm.
How can I participate?
Show up (on time). Volunteer. Pray. Give.
What denomination is Sonoma?
We are a nondenominational Christian church with pentecostal roots so if you come from a Pentecostal, Baptist or Nondenominational background you’ll feel right at home.

OUR BELIEFS

The Holy Bible is God’s Word to all people and it is completely true.

God exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

When people die, they go to either Hell or Heaven.

Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

The Church is a community of Jesus followers and it seeks to spread the gospel of Jesus to everyone and create strong Christians out of everyone.

“As a child, I thought just because I went to church that I was a Christian. This is not the case, being a Christian means having a 1-on-1 relationship with Jesus Christ.” – David, Age 17
