Have you ever wanted something so badly that you were willing to do whatever it takes? That can lead to serious danger.

If you follow Satan, and you pray to him and ask him for great wealth so you can pleasure your self and expand Satan’s Kingdom, Satan will most like answer your prayer.

If you follow God, and you pray to Him and ask Him for great wealth so you can pleasure yourself and spend most of it to expand God’s Kingdom, God will probably give it to you in time. If you only want it for your own pleasure, God will not always get involved. He will sometimes, because He does love you and wants you to have enough, but anything more than enough can quickly lead to sin.

James gives us a glimpse into why some of our prayers, especially prayers for material items go unanswered and furthermore James challenges us that if we want something from God for the sake of doing more for God’s Kingdom, God will most likely give us the resource, but please don’t lie to yourself and lie to God and pretend that you want it for His purposes.

James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
